We understand the inherent connection between young minds and mother nature. Mama’s Ranch Zoo offers kid-friendly, unrushed, self-guided tours of the “zoo” including intentional opportunities for children to see, touch, smell and explore their surroundings. Our family of animals expands each season, so we encourage frequent visits.

Mama’s Ranch Zoo is free and open to scheduled visits.

  • Upon arrival, your group will be met by either the farm owner or assistant who will show you areas that are safe for children to visit, as well as areas that should be avoided. Groups can then depart on self-guided tours. If groups would like to request horse rides, please discuss during your initial inquiry.

Group coordinators are responsible for the whereabouts of their students and/or group members.

  • Visitors can park in front of the property on the side of the neighborhood road. Groups can then walk North to the open area behind the garage and decide where you want to begin.

  • Visitors should wear close-toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty. We discourage clothes that include sequins or other items that can detach easily.

  • Groups are welcome to stay on the farm as long as they prefer. We do not currently have a cap on farm visits.

Groups are welcome to bring sack lunches and a picnic blanket if they’d like. However, please do not feed lunch left-overs to the animals.

  • A large bag of carrots is usually available for visitors to feed the horses, cows and goats.

Visitors should not expect to share their own snacks or leftovers with the animals.

  • Mama’s Ranch Zoo currently does not have public restrooms. We encourage visitors to plan accordingly.

  • Mama's Ranch does not currently have a public hand washing station, but these accommodations are in the works! In the meantime, we encourage visitors to bring wet wipes and/or hand sanitizer until they can use water and hand soap as they please.

Visiting the Zoo is one of our favorite activities to do with friends. My boys especially love sitting on the big green tractor and feeding carrots to the cows.

My favorite part of the Zoo is watching the horses and holding the baby goats. Animals are my favorite thing in the whole world!
